Catalytic-clothing.com was a project that explored how clothing and textiles can be used as a catalytic surface to purify the air, employing existing technology in a new way.
It was the brainchild of Prof. Helen Storey and chemist Tony Ryan. On September 16, 2022, the site was merged into wisioi.com
What did Catalytic Clothing do?
It was started in 2011 at The London College Of Fashion with the purpose of using nanotechnology to add to clothing textiles.
The project concluded in 2016 and culminated in the viral feature film The Catalytic Clothing Film, which was downloaded in 75 countries and reached an audience of 173 million people.
What does Wisi-Oi do?
We are an online marketplace that promotes sustainable fashion choices through pre-loved clothing.
The marketplace connects individual and boutique sellers with eco-conscious consumers looking to make environmentally friendly shopping decisions.
The synergy between WISI-Oi and Catalytic Clothing will see the merger carry on the message of sustainability within the fashion industry.
