How To Be A Sustainable Fashionista
We all need to do our part in taking care of the planet, but fashion makes that pretty difficult sometimes.
We know that you all care a lot about being sustainable but don’t want to have to sacrifice your style in the process - and neither do we.
Lucky for all of us, we don’t have to!!!!
We’ve put together the ultimate guide and our favorite tips & tricks on how to be a sustainable fashion queen.
Learn how to take care of your clothes
It’s super easy to make your clothes last as long as possible. You just need to know how to take care of them! We have a few tips & tricks to help you get started:

Shop second hand
We cannot stress enough the importance of shopping preloved!
The amount of greenhouse gasses created by producing an item of clothing could be massively offset by someone giving it a second life.
For example, if you buy a dress second hand, you’re helping reduce it’s Co2e impact by 79%!
Cleaning your clothes
Two of the easiest ways to be more eco-friendly when washing your clothes is to wash on cold and to air dry. Not only will you save money on your electricity bill, but it’s also much more sustainable!
Outfit repeat
Gone are the days of not wanting to be seen in the same outfit twice. We all need to be wearing our outfits on multiple occasions rather than buying something new for every event.
Not to mention, if you bought it and wore it once - that probably means you look great in it and shouldn’t throw it away.

Fix things
Is your zipper jammed or did your strap break? Don’t throw things away that can be easily fixed!
There are tailors everywhere that can make these fixes in a matter of minutes and then your outfit will be as good as new again!
Sell your unwanted clothes
Are your clothes in great condition but you just don’t wear them enough? Don’t throw them away. The most sustainable way to get rid of unwanted clothing is through resale!
That’s right - you can make money on your secondhand clothes and pride yourself on being a sustainable queen at the same time!
